Steps to get Licensed as a Security Guard in Ontario
Below, you will find the necessary steps required to become a licensed Security Guard in Ontario. Our course will prepare you well for the Ministry Exam and provide you with the tools you need to succeed in the industry.
1.
Register for the Course Online to Receive Your Training Materials
Go to courses and purchase the online course or email us at info@primalprotection.ca for more information. Once you register and pay you will gain access to the course.
2.
Complete the online Security Guard Training Course
There is no time limit to complete the course so you are able to learn at your pace. The course + CPR is a total of 40 hours and you are required to complete the chapters having spent a minimum of the entire time.
3.
Get Your Emergency First Aid CPR Level “C” Certification
Complete the Emergency First Aid CPR Level “C” Certification from one of our licensed providers.
4.
Obtain your Training Completion Number (TCN)
Once you complete both the Online Security Guard Training Course as well as the in class Emergency First Aid CPR you need to submit your documents for approval. You can submit your documents after the final exam in the course or directly at info@primalprotection.ca. Once your documents have been verified, you will receive your TCN via email within 2 business days.
5.
Write and Pass the Ministry Exam
Once you receive your TCN, you will be able to register for the Ministry Exam via the link provided in the email with the TCN. Upon completion and passing of the final exam, you will receive your temporary license while your physical license gets sent in the mail.
